Case Study
I was contacted by a lady whose father had a sand school installed 30 years ago but was struggling with the ongoing maintenance. It became clear on a site visit that the surface had broken down and was very thin and the membrane was now showing in places. Grass and weeds had built up in the banked corners and throughout the arena making the surface hard and impossible to level.
We discussed with the client the options and agreed the best option was to remove the sand and weed content that was left and apply a new membrane and surface. The problem was going to be the access which was severely overgrown and not suitable for today's lorries. Other companies most probably had not come back to the lady with a quote as a result of this.
So, we worked with a local farmer to bring in the sand from just offsite in a smaller tractor and trailer. It meant many more loads and journeys but the aim was achieved and within budget. The customer was very satisfied.
